Bahçeşehir Istanbul University was established in 1998 in Istanbul

The university's main campus is located in the Besiktas area on the European side of Istanbul. Similar to its location in Istanbul, the university has 9 international branches in America, Canada, Germany, Italy, China, Georgia, and Turkish Northern Cyprus.

The university has 6 campuses within the city of Istanbul, which contain the latest technologies and laboratories that follow modern academic and technical developments and work to integrate them into the education system.

 One of its university campuses includes a huge library on an area of ​​11,400 square meters, which includes more than 250,000 books and magazines, in addition to digital and electronic documents, encyclopedias, studies, and scientific publications. It also has computer laboratories, medical and engineering laboratories, architecture studios, equipped smart classrooms, research centers, and halls for conferences, meetings, and celebrations.

It also includes places designated for various social, cultural, artistic, and sporting student activities, such as cinema and theater halls, gyms equipped at a high level, and sea boats that help students enjoy sea trips within Istanbul. The university campus also has a number of various cafes and restaurants.

The university has a large number of international students, numbering 3,506 students from 106 countries around the world. The university also has an academic staff consisting of 1,057 lecturers, and about 506 administrative employees to serve students.
